mt ex
On November 15, 2014, the very popular “mt ex Exhibition ” came to China for the first time at Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu. At this event, mt not only presented its limited collection of masking tapes, but customized interesting and novel ways of play with its products for consumers in Chengdu.
In recent years, as the creative industry has been booming in Chengdu with the participation of numerous international creative brands, people from all walks of life have paid more and more attention to it. mt (masking tape) is originated from the vehicle tapes for protection of vehicle painting used by 3M. In 1990, 3M used the “yoshino paper” to produce new products. As it was originally designed for protection, the yoshino paper is easy to tear and cleanable. Later, mt made varieties of masking tape patterns, in pure color or in unique designs. For DIY fans, masking tape is an indispensable raw material for handworks.
This mt ex Exhibition is held in a space over 400 m2 decorated by colorful masking tapes, provided with two machines for interaction, Gashapon machine and badge machine. In addition, thousands of “windmills” are deemed as a focus in this exhibition. It should be particularly noted that mt, inspirited by local elements of Chengdu, designed 6 kinds of limited tapes, including pandas, Three-Kingdom figures, Mahjong and featured snacks of Chengdu which are printed on the masking tapes in a vivid manner. The enthusiasts coming from different places line up for the exhibition and are infatuated with the displayed items.
All the previous grand mt exhibitions presented a lot of devices decorated by colorful tapes to render strong visual impact. This exhibition presents 4 MINI Coopers, of which the new classical MINI decorated by masking tapes is the most typical one, to show the possibilities in the masking tape world. The consumers at Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu can view these unique crafts closely.
It is reported that this exhibition will last one month. Consumers can participate in the exhibition free of charge to experience the charm of masking tapes.
